Directions
A family assembly line works great for manufacturing this great dessert.
- Place four to five drops
of green food coloring in a small bowl. Mix in about half a cup of coconut with
a fork, until the coconut is a lovely green color. This will be the lettuce.
- Place a small amount
of frosting on the flat side of a vanilla wafer. This will be the bottom bun of
the hamburger (see A).
- Place a chocolate-covered
cookie (right side up) on top of the frosting and press firmly to form the meat
patty (see B).
- Squeeze a small amount
of yellow and red frosting on the edge of the chocolate-covered cookie. This will
be the ketchup and mustard on the hamburger patty (see C).
- Sprinkle a small amount
of green coconut over the frosting, if you like lettuce on your burger (see D).
- Take another vanilla
wafer and place a small amount of frosting in the middle of the flat side of the
wafer. Then press it down on top of the coconut and violá you have delicious
hamburger for dessert.
